Community-Wide Swap, Career Workshops, Flu Clinic, Free Night at the Museum

The Bellevue Avenue grade crossing will continue to be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic through Friday, Oct. 11. All east-west traffic will be detoured to the Lorraine Avenue crossing.

The Montclair Health Department has scheduled multiple flu shot clinics for residents of Montclair, Verona and Cedar Grove. Cost is $20. Free to Medicare Part B recipients. This week: Montclair Municipal Building, 205 Claremont Ave., 5 to 7 p.m.

United Way Family Success Center is partnering with JVS of MetroWest New Jersey to offer a free career workshop series for local job seekers on Thursday, at 10 a.m.

The Montclair Art Museum's popular Free First Thursday Nights return October 3! Enjoy dynamic programming, art activities, live music, and a full-service bar. 

Essex County will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 125 Fairview Ave., in Cedar Grove. Essex County residents must provide proof of residency at the site. For more information, call 973-792-9060 or visit www.ecuanj.com.

The 21st Community-Wide Free Swap takes place this Saturday at Hillside School in Montclair. Donations may be made Friday afternoon. You don't have to leave something to take something.
