Studio Montclair Opening, Council Meeting, Winter Blues Party in the Week Ahead

What's happening this week in Montclair and what stories Patch plans to cover.

Montclair Township offices are closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Refuse, recycling, Senior Bus and Evening Shuttle services are suspended.

While Montclair Schools are closed in observance of MLK Day, several schools are holding Day On and Day of Service events, including Hillside, Mt. Hebron, Bullock and Bradford.

The Montclair Council will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, at 7 p.m, in the council chambers, 205 Claremont Ave.

The Montclair Cooperative School will host a Winter Blues Party on Saturday. Dance the night away with live music from The Bill Weevils and other bands. 21 and over.

SAVE THE DATE: Montclair Public Schools are presenting a series of Amistad Community Roundtables to inform and discuss implementation of the Amistad  law. The first event is scheduled for Tues., Jan. 28 at the Charles H. Bullock School.
