BOE Meeting Time Change, New Pool Schedule, Upcoming Tax Sale

What's happening this week in Montclair and which stories Patch plans to cover.

The Montclair Board of Education meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the George Inness Annex in the Atrium.

A feature-length documentary about recovery from drugs and alcohol addiction, The Anonymous People, is screening at the Bellevue Theatre on Wednesday. 

The Montclair Planning Board has released an updated schedule for discussions on the 30-year Master Plan for the township. The next meeting is planned for Monday, Sept. 9 with a focus on Historic Preservation.

Essex Pool closed for the season Sunday. The township's two other pools, Nishuane and Mountainside, will remain open through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2. 

Have outstanding property tax, water or sewer bills from 2012? Avoid being placed on the tax sale list by making payments asap. The tax sale will take place on Oct. 22, 2013, according to the township's website.

You have a little less than a month to train! The Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE) and the Montclair High School — School Action Team are co-hosting the first annual Mountie Pride Fun Run on Sunday, Sept. 22 at Woodman Field.
