Montclair Public Library Foundation hosts fifth annual community read-aloud event.

Well-known professional actors and authors who call Montclair home will headline Montclair’s Fifth Annual "The Little Read."

The Montclair Public Library Foundation's town-wide, read-aloud marathon celebrates community and literacy through numerous events this weekend.

The Little Read kicks off at the library Friday night with Bedtime Stories read by Frankie Faison, star of HBO’s The Wire. Faison has appeared in many television and film roles, as well as on Broadway.

Montclair Mayor Robert Jackson, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Penny MacCormack and Library Director David Hinkley will also read stories to children and their families. Cookies and milk, of course, will be served.

The festivities continue on Saturday with Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony-nominated actor Patrick Wilson and his wife, author and actress Dagmara Dominczyk, reading aloud at the Montclair Public Library.
