Montclair Residents Join Fight For Stricter Gun Control
Rally by group formed in the wake of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting draws hundreds in Jersey City, including a busload of people from Montclair.
Montclair is joining the growing chorus calling for stricter gun regulations. Dozens of Montclair residents piled in a bus and drove to Lincoln Park in Jersey City on Saturday for the Jersey Strong Rally to curb gun violence. The Montclair contingent was organized by the local grassroots organization BlueWaveNJ and its subsidiary, North Jersey Chapter of Ceasefire New Jersey. “This is not about the 2nd Amendment, this is about public safety," said Marcia Marley, President of BlueWaveNJ.
