A man wearing a mask flashed a handgun and robbed a Montclair bank Monday before escaping with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police. The armed man was caught on video wearing a black mask around his mouth and nose and a hood covering his head as he walked into the PNC Bank, located at 57 Park St., at around 2:20 p.m. Monday brandishing a silver handgun, according to police. The man pointed the gun directly at the tellers. He handed them a green bag and demanded they fill it with large bills, police said. A Claremont Avenue resident has died from injuries sustained in a stabbing early Sunday morning at his home, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. Felicia Williams, 37, allegedly stabbed her boyfriend Herbet Warrenton Spriggs, 46, at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the home located at 285 Claremont Ave. The two were reportedly arguing when Williams allegedly stabbed Spriggs with a knife, according to the prosecutor’s office. Spriggs drove himself to Mountainside Hospital, but later died at approximately 4:10 a.m. Sunday, according to authorities.
