Masked Man Robs Montclair PNC Bank

Man walked into bank Monday afternoon pointing gun and demanded tellers fill up a bag with large bills, police said.

A man wearing a mask flashed a handgun and robbed a Montclair bank Monday before escaping with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.  The armed man was caught on video wearing a black mask around his mouth and nose and a hood covering his head as he walked into the PNC Bank, located at 57 Park St., at around 2:20 p.m. Monday brandishing a silver handgun, according to police.   The man pointed the gun directly at the tellers. He handed them a green bag and demanded they fill it with large bills, police said.  The man reportedly threatened to shoot the tellers if they didn’t hurry as he counted backwards from 30, according to police.  After a short time, the man grabbed the green bag filled with money and ran out of the bank, …

Montclair Woman Charged with Stabbing Boyfriend to Death

Felicia Williams, 37, is charged with aggravated manslaughter for the death of Herbet Warrenton Spriggs, 46, of Montclair.

  A Claremont Avenue resident has died from injuries sustained in a stabbing early Sunday morning at his home, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. Felicia Williams, 37, allegedly stabbed her boyfriend Herbet Warrenton Spriggs, 46, at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the home located at 285 Claremont Ave. The two were reportedly arguing when Williams allegedly stabbed Spriggs with a knife, according to the prosecutor’s office.  Spriggs drove himself to Mountainside Hospital, but later died at approximately 4:10 a.m. Sunday, according to authorities.  The home is situated on a busy suburban street in the heart of Montclair, and blocks away from the township’s municipal building and a church.   Williams was charged with aggravated …
