County Executive Declares National Mosquito Awareness Week
Event is designed to help raise awareness about mosquito control in Essex County.
Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announced Wednesday that between June 23-29, New Jersey will mark the 17th annual National Mosquito Control Awareness Week. The goal of this week is to educate the general public about the importance of mosquito control and highlight the work done by mosquito control staffers in Essex County and throughout the U.S. “We implement a comprehensive, year-round program that includes, surveillance, public education, spraying and water management to control the mosquito population," DiVincenzo said in a statement.
