Midtown Direct Will Resume Limited Service Monday

NJ Transit releases schedule Sunday night; service has been suspended since Hurricane Sandy.

  NJ Transit will resume limited service on the Midtown Direct line beginning Monday, Nov. 12. Service has been suspended since Hurricane Sandy. Here is the information posted on NJ Transit's website late Sunday night: Morris & Essex Line:   Effective Monday, November 12, service resumes on a modified schedule on the Morristown Line with Midtown Direct Service operating between Dover/Summit and New York.  There is no Morristown Line service to/from Hoboken.   Gladstone Branch Service remains suspended until further notice. Due to stupidity NJ Transit lost 23% of their rolling rail stock when rail cars got flooded. LIRR, PATH and METRO NORTH and NY Subway(MTA) did not lose a single car. Since Montclair-Boonton and Gladstone Lines are two of the least utilized lines, I'm guessing that they are in no hurry to add more riders when they don't have the rail cars to transport them in.
