Nycal Velasquez last seen in Fort Lee.
Police and concerned friends and family of a missing 21-year-old Bloomfield resident are asking for the public’s help after his abandoned car was found in Fort Lee and reportedly contained a suicide note. Bloomfield police said the department started investigating Nycal Velasquez’s disappearance after Palisades Interstate Parkway Police found his family’s car in Fort Lee Historical Park on March 30. The car was missing since 3 that morning. Alberto Velasquez, Nycal's father, told investigators he had been attempting to contact his son all day with no success. William Culbertson, 22, was last heard from on Dec. 12. He has an apartment in Verona and has family in Montclair.
A Verona man, last heard from by his Montclair parents on Dec. 12, has been reported missing, according to police. William Culbertson, 22, is described as being white, 6-foot, 3-inches tall, about 275 lbs., and has blond hair and blue eyes. Janet Lee, his mother, said Culbertson grew up in Montclair and moved into the Verona apartment about a year ago. “I think it is best to let the police handle the investigation the way they like,” said Lee. “It’s probably best I don’t say too much.” Culbertson currently lives a small three-story apartment building on Montrose Avenue in Verona. Police are calling for help from New Jersey residents to help identify a man found on Sunday, wandering alone and naked in the woods covered in mud, near Route 202.
New Jersey police are trying to find out what happened to a man found wandering naked in the woods yesterday, apparently suffering from amnesia. As reported by Mahwah Patch, at approximately noon on Sunday the Mahwah Police received a 911 call regarding a naked man in the wooded area off of Route 202 near the Route 17 southbound ramp. Responding officers located the above pictured individual, who was covered in mud and walking through the woods. After claiming he did not know his name, where he was or where he came from, the man was transported to Bergen Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
