Snowfall estimates in Montclair are between 1 and 3 inches.
Snow is expected to hit Montclair this week starting Wednesday. Wednesday will bring clouds and a chance of rain or snow before 9 a.m. as temperatures climb to a high of 41 F for the day. The winds will be noticeable at 16 to 20 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. Wind gusts may be as high as 30 miles per hour. Snow is expected to start falling around 6 p.m. Wednesday. Temperatures will drop to around 31 F and winds will whip at 21 to 32 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent, and snow accumulation is predicted to be between 1 and 3 inches. Montclair public schools and Montclair Kimberley Academy update: Due to impending inclement weather, all afterschool programs, activities and events are cancelled for Friday.
Winter storm Nemo will hit Montclair Friday. The Montclair Weatherman brings bad news: Nemo will roll through New Jersey early Friday and into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. A "Winter Storm Warning" has also been issued between 6 a.m. Friday and noon on Saturday. The Montclair School District has already canceled all after school programs, activities and events due to the snow. Montclair Kimberley Academy has also canceled all afternoon activities.
