Saturday's celebrity-packed funeral for Newark native Whitney Houston included some of the most respected female singers in music today, including Roberta Flack, Mary J. Blige, Dionne Warwick, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys.

I don’t have a problem with all the publicity concerning the Houston funeral…. there’s no way you can really stop that. But, I disagree with flying the flag a half mast. You can’t do that for every entertainer who was originally from NJ. more ›
