Anonymous Video Claims Responsibility for Leaked Montclair Assessments

Could this be a prank or the real leaker(s)?

An anonymous poster of a video on Vimeo claims responsibility for gaining access to more than a dozen Montclair student assessments and posting them on a public website last week, BaristaKids reported.

The 2:35 video called "#OPBOE" was posted around 3 p.m. Monday and shows a black and white mask with the a message scrolling over it that reads in part:

"It has come to our attention that the Superintendent of Montclair Schools Penny MacCormack seeks to divide and twist the education of those who attend her schools using standardized testing ... Therefore we have released 16 of the planned interim assessments to the world ... Manipulation of the weak and innocent is something that only the truly weak believe indicates power. Anonymous does not have leaders. We are not a group. We are not an organization. We are just an idea..." (See full video.)

The district reported Sunday that 14, not 16 as the video claims, assessments were posted to GoBookee.org for a short time, but long enough to compromise the integrity of the tests.

Montclair Mayor Robert Jackson slammed those responsible in a statement released Monday.  Time will tell whether the video is a prank. What do you think?
